About | English
At the Cancer Molecular Biology Laboratory, research is conducted using 15 different cancer cell lines. Laboratory studies include protocols for developing drug-resistant cell lines, investigations of cell death mechanisms (programmed and non-programmed cell death processes), and analyses of signaling pathways (cellular communication cascades). Cytotoxicity assays (cell viability/toxicity tests), ELISA assays (enzyme-linked immunosorbent assays), and gene expression analyses are performed. Research is carried out using multiple active agents, including drug repurposing studies of therapeutics used in different treatments on cancer cells, as well as investigations into the effects of plant extracts, nanoparticles, and flavonoids.
