Mission and Vision

Mission
Our mission is to train biologists who have internalized the scientific approach and methodology in the field of biology and can generalize these to all areas of life; who can synthesize information from different sources, follow developments in science and technology and apply them in their field; who can conduct research with innovative and creative approaches; who can integrate the knowledge they acquire with information from other disciplines; who are open to continuous learning and development; and who possess ethical and humanitarian values on a universal scale. In addition, with a continuously developing staff committed to ethical values, our mission is to produce qualified scientific knowledge, provide solutions to local and global problems, disseminate this knowledge to society, and carry society into the future.

Vision
Our vision is to be a department with a high-quality, qualified, dynamic, and innovative academic staff and modern infrastructure, which has internalized the fundamental principles of science and the scientific method; can apply its theoretical and practical knowledge to other fields; and is recognized nationally and internationally for its academic achievements, quality of education, and projects/studies. In this context, our aim is to raise biologists who have grasped the biological basis of natural processes, can contribute to the advancement of science and the world, can conduct multidisciplinary research to address local and global problems, embrace teamwork, use the knowledge they have acquired to meet the needs of their institution and humanity, aim for industrial-technological production that will contribute to the country’s development, are committed to ethical values, respect differences, are free-minded, innovative, and open to competition in all environments. Our department adopts as its principle and duty the provision of appropriate new technologies and teaching methods to make this vision a reality.
