Duties:

1. To identify students with disabilities who have been admitted to higher education programs during the registration process.

2. To work on adapting the educational environment for students with disabilities, providing disability-specific tools and equipment, preparing special course materials, and arranging suitable educational, research, scholarship, and accommodation environments.

3. To develop programs and projects, and organize seminars, conferences, and similar activities aimed at informing academic staff and students about disabilities, the limitations they bring, and the necessary accommodations, thereby increasing awareness and sensitivity in this area.

4. To work toward providing necessary assistive devices for students with disabilities who have financial difficulties free of charge.

5. To ensure that all students are subject to fair and accurate assessment and evaluation, making the educational process meaningful for students with disabilities by providing additional time, space, materials, or a reader/assistant for exams, and taking necessary measures and making arrangements based on the nature of the disability.

6. To take measures to ensure that information regarding employment opportunities and professions reaches students with disabilities.

7. To ensure that the university campus, as well as buildings and open areas within the campus, are accessible to students with disabilities.

8. To monitor the implementation of the decisions taken.

9. To complete the relevant sections of the self-assessment report related to these matters.
