Genetic Toxicology Laboratory

About | English

In the Drosophila Genetics Laboratory, toxicological studies are conducted with 14 different Drosophila mutants. Toxicity tests of various components, including nanoparticles, pesticides, sweeteners, and preservatives, are investigated here. Parameters such as mutation, recombination, neuromotor disorders, behavioral and developmental disorders are tested in Drosophila larvae and adults.

In the Genetic Toxicology Laboratory, DNA break analysis is performed on Drosophila, Allium cepa, and various cell lines. Studies on protein and enzyme activities and gene expression analysis in Drosophila are also conducted.
